City of Paranoia 2 is the upcoming sequel from an anonymous group, granting a rare and explicit insight into the world of hardcore illegal graffiti in London.
The people behind the original City of Paranoia are highly secretive, for obvious reasons. With the British Transport Police and Crown Prosecution Service pushing for tougher sentences, it’s become commonplace for graffiti writers to be sentenced to anywhere from 12 to 36 months via new conspiracy charges – previously reserved for serious organised crime.
Add to that the overwhelming presence of various elaborate security measures, and it’s easy to see why London is one of the more difficult systems to paint.
In spite of all this, there’s still the resilient hardcore who continue to push the boundaries of what can be done further and further into the seemingly impossible.
